We are a bilingual school with British heritage, which allows us to combine the values of English tradition with a contemporary, globally connected vision. Our educational model integrates discipline, work ethic, respect for difference, and a solid humanistic education.
In addition, by implementing the Cambridge curriculum, we prepare our students for university in Colombia or abroad, with a globally recognised academic foundation.
Spirituality, respect, and inclusion
At our School, spirituality is an essential pillar of holistic education: we seek for every student to transcend, connect with the Divine, and find meaning, purpose, and happiness in harmony with themselves, with others, and with their surroundings.
Although the Catholic faith is our official tradition, we welcome and respect all beliefs. We believe in equal rights and opportunities for men and women, and in respect for all forms of life, aware that we are part of one and the same unity.
Terminal values express a final goal and purpose in life; they refer to the ongoing growth in developing all of a student's potential, in knowing and managing themselves in order to contribute to building a better, more just world for everyone. Within these values, we can distinguish between intrapersonal values (which concern the individual) and interpersonal values (which relate to life in common).
Instrumental values are behaviors and competencies that make it possible to achieve terminal values, and they can be moral (interpersonal) or competence-based (intrapersonal).
The SGS Innovation Center seeks to continuously update the School with methodologies and technologies that transform teaching processes. The goal is to enhance the curricula and generate experiential learning spaces outside the classroom, through projects and meaningful experiences for the entire school community.
